The inspiration for Lily White is the anticipated pleasure of creating a background in which colour and form are expressed freely. I very much enjoyed combining the challenging realism of the lilies with the abstract background.

Cueillir des lilas est une expérience haute en sensation. Sentir dans la main ces formes douces et veloutés au toucher, je veux plonger le visage dans le bouquet, me fermer les yeux et laisser le parfum m’envahir.

Having a lilac tree to pick flowers from each spring is a real treat. The feel in my hands of each velvety and delicate cone shaped flower is high in sensation. I have to bring the bouquet up close, feel it against my face and breathe in its extraordinary perfume.
